Our reason for using select SELECT SPRAY FOAM was 2 fold: to encapsulate the crawl space to reduce humidity in the cabin and to insulate the enclosed section of crawl space where the plumbing is to reduce heat cost.

We noticed a 10% reduction in humidity upstairs, I don’t know the % for the crawl space but it was very noticeable and dry for the first time. I am absolutely sure we will be able to heat the plumbing area for next to nothing all winter. We insulated from the ground up the walls including the rim board and sill plate area.

The spray on foam enables full coverage which you will not get when installing foam board due to space restrictions. A big reduction in humidity will also mean less air conditioning, no mold or mildew in the cabin. An efficient heated area in the crawl space will mean less cost and no freeze-up problems for very minimal cost. The actual foam is very dense, more than I have seen with any other insulated product. We were very happy with the actual installation process that Jeff did.

Also quick responses to communication which is incredibly helpful to coordinate the timelines and plans and unfortunately, in our experience, less and less common with contractors.
